About Lord of Life

At Lord of Life we have a genuine concern for the well-being of all people.  We joyfully follow God's call to love one another, and we invite you to experience the word of God without fear of judgment or discrimination.  With God's help we provide a safe and fulfilling place for you, regardless of where you are on your faith journey.

Here is what some people say about Lord of Life:

"There is a sense of joy throughout the congregation.  Lord of Life has happy people and it is a happy place to worship."

"I appreciate the opportunity to address the spiritual aspect of my life."

"It is fun seeing the exuberance of the children."

"I love the light in the sanctuary.  It makes you feel that God is right there with us no matter what is happening in your life. "

There is a place for every member of your family at Lord of Life.

What is a Lutheran?

Lutherans believe in the Triune God.  God created and loves all of creation - the earth and the seas and all of the world's inhabitants.  We believe that God's Son, Jesus Christ, transforms lives through his death on the cross and his new life, and we trust that God's Spirit is active in the world, guiding our lives.

We are part of God's unfolding plan.  When we gather for worship, we connect with believers everywhere.  When we study the Bible or hear God's word in worship, we are drawn more deeply into God's own saving story.

Our Pastor

Rev. Dr. Dawn Enderwood grew up on the prairies of Kansas. She attended the University of Kansas, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She continued her education and received a master’s degree in communication theory. She worked in the broadcasting industry before starting a family. After her daughters were in school she began teaching communication classes on the college level. In the late 1990s, she attended seminary at the Lutheran Seminary Program of the Southwest in Austin, TX. In 2013 she received her Doctorate in Ministry at Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa. Pastor Dawn has three daughters, Quinn, Rachel and Anne. Pastor Dawn’s ministry centers on the words of Paul to the Ephesians: “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.” (Eph 2:8-10) This means that we do not earn our way into God’s heart. God created us and loves us regardless of what we do. This is good news to all people. As Lutherans, we believe the best response to God’s blessings to us, is to share blessings with others. We might say: Pay it forward.
