We often think of grief in terms of death, but grief, or deep sorrow, strikes in other circumstances, as well. We may experience grief related to personal disappointments, disruptions in our lives, setbacks, or illness. Any of these take a toll on our well-being. While the class will consider grief following the death of a loved one, we will also address feelings of despair that come with other losses. During the classes, we will talk about our heartaches, understand them to the degree we can, consider coping skills and, when the time is right, give ourselves permission to move forward.
